More than four walls
David and Alyson took ownership in 2022 and brought over 30 years of hospitality experience with them. Their aim was simple. Keep the authenticity of the space, but make the experience straightforward for couples.
Some barn venues provide an empty shell and leave you to organise everything.
At Falside Mill, we are here to support you. We provide in-house catering, a fully stocked bar and furniture on-site, so you are not starting from scratch or juggling multiple suppliers.
You still have the freedom to personalise your day in a way that feels true to you, but with the reassurance that everything is looked after!
Our Spaces
Our mill ring is ideal for smaller ceremonies, while the ceremony hall and main hall can accommodate larger celebrations. Each space is positioned close together, making it easy for guests to move comfortably throughout the day.
The courtyard provides the perfect outdoor area for drinks and mingling, and the surrounds for the most breathtaking wedding portraits.
At Falside Mill, the courtyard, ceremony space and reception area sit naturally alongside one another, which means guests aren’t being moved around all day. Everyone stays close, conversations carry on, and the atmosphere builds as the hours go by.

Stay the Night
With 19 thoughtfully designed chalets on-site, guests can settle in for a relaxed two-night stay, checking in the day before the wedding so they can enjoy the evening together ahead of the celebration.
Each chalet comfortably sleeps two, with additional sofa beds available. There is no need to think about late-night travel or packing up in a rush. The experience flows naturally from the night before through to the wedding day, allowing everyone to fully relax and enjoy every moment together.
